hEARTSAVER CPR, aed & first aid CLASSES
Rescue Alabama offers a range of American Heart Association CPR courses to include AED training, First Aid Training, and simplified training such as Hands Only CPR, Friends & Family CPR and more.
basic life support (bls)
This CPR course is intended for first responders and professional rescuers, including nurses, physicians, EMTs, and other medical professionals. This course will satisfy the required CPR certification for nursing, dental and healthcare students.
Narcan & overdose training
The Narcan Administration course is designed for anyone who wants to be prepared to save a life in the event of an opioid overdose. Whether you're a concerned parent, teacher, coworker, community member, church leader, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, this class is for you. No prior medical training is required.
stop the bleed
Anyone can take a Stop the Bleed course—no medical experience is required. This training is ideal for teachers, church groups, first responders, business employees, and everyday citizens who want to be prepared to save a life in a bleeding emergency.
advanced cardiovascular life support training (acls)
For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response.
bloodborne pathogens
This course is designed for anyone who may be exposed to blood or potentially infectious materials as part of their job or volunteer duties. Common participants include first responders, healthcare workers, custodial staff, tattoo artists, daycare providers, and workplace safety teams. OSHA & ADPH Compliant.

Rescue Alabama is a small, locally owned business dedicated to providing high-quality CPR, AED, and First Aid instruction to individuals, workplaces, and community organizations. Founded and operated by Yancey Brown, and assisted by his fiancé Lauryn Johnson, our mission is to empower everyday people with the confidence and skills to save lives.
Yancey has been a certified American Heart Association instructor since 2022 and has issued nearly 300 CPR certifications to date. As a career Advanced EMT and the Fire Chief of Lay Lake Fire Rescue, he brings real-world emergency experience into every class. His training sessions are not only informative but also engaging—combining practical knowledge with a charismatic, down-to-earth approach that helps students truly connect with the material.
